RESEARCH: Practice attempt at photography

Reflection-practice attempt at photography:

After doing some research and watching tutorials online of photography, I decided to use my own camera to capture some shots. These were my favorite ones. In the first image I saw that my sister's nails matched her coffee so I used my camera to focus of the coffee cup. After I did that, I edited it by adding a filter over the top and slightly decreasing the exposure. In image 2, I saw the reflection of the scenery in the water and thought it gave an interesting and slightly confusing illusion to the viewer. In image 3, I first saw these pumpkins and thought that if I decreased the exposure the navy blue would increase the orange color, this then gave the subject the opportunity to truly stand out against the background. Lastly, in image 4, I decreased the shadow, increased the brightness and also increased the black point which really developed the photo well. I enjoyed this attempt at photography in preparation for taking photographs for my magazine.
